Cases of nouns:
Case:
It show the position of a noun in a sentence.
1:subjective or nominative case:
when a noun is used as a subject in a sentence it is it's subjective or nominative case.
for example:
1:Bilal always hold people
2:objective accusative case:
When a noun is used as a direct object in a sentence it is its objective case.
for example:
1:John loves animals.
2:Ali cooked biryani.
3:Sana loves eating.
3:Dative case:
When a noun is used as indirect object in a sentence it is its dative case
for example
1: he send Ali a letter.
2;she bought Salman a bowl.
4; possessive originative case:
when a noun is used to show position or ownership it is its possessive or genetic case.
Rules:
1: All singular noun or made possessive by adding "s" to them
John----- John's car
Ali------ Ali's room
2: Plural nouns ending in "s" are made possessive by adding ['] to them.
boys -----boy's hotel
girls------ girl's room
3: Plural noun not ending in { s } are made possessive by adding ['s ]to them .
children------ children's hospital
women ------ women's room
Bilal's and Ali's hostel.
Bilal has own hostel.
Ali has own hostel.
Bilal and Ali's hostel. ----- They both have one hotel combine.
5: vocative case:
when a noun is used to address or call it is it's vocative case
for example
1: boys don't make noise.
2:Ali come here.
6: Appositive case:
when a noun is used to rename another noun it is opposite if case it is a given name.
for example
1: meet my friend Ali
2: our national poet Allama Iqbal was born in Sialkot.
